MISSIONARY LIFE

CHRIST IN THE CITY MISSIONARIES RECEIVE

Spiritual Formation

A Life of Prayer: Missionaries fill up on daily prayer and sacraments, and receive courses in Catholic Social Teaching in order to come to better know Christ and His heart for the poor.

Leadership & Career Development

A Life of Apostolate: Missionaries split into teams for street ministry routes, learning to encounter others. They are also assigned an internship role within the office, gaining leadership experience in non-profit operations.

Authentic Friendship

A Life of Intentional Community: Missionaries live in a household with their peers sharing a life of community, prayer, service, and simplicity.

Fundraising

We know fundraising can be difficult. That’s why we do everything we can to keep your personal fundraising requirements as low as possible. While missionaries are guided in raising $9,100, CIC works to secure donors to match that and supply the other half of the funds necessary to support you while you’re here.

“Every encounter we have during our missionary year adds a new facet to our image of God…

I have learned of God’s joy, His sense of humor, His love, His suffering, and so much more.”   -Anna L.
