I’m a 1st year missionary from Plymouth, MI.
What brought you to Christ in the City?
When I was a freshman in college seminary, I noticed a man on the side of the street. Since I had been open to new relationships with my brothers in seminary, I was startled by my desire not to talk to him. I grew in my desire to overcome this discomfort and I signed up to do a mission trip with Christ in the City. I thoroughly enjoyed their community life and formation, but I didn’t want to leave the seminary unless I knew it was what God wanted me to do. I just graduated and now feel like God’s opening the door to Christ in the City. I cannot put into words how excited I am for this year. Every time I say yes to God, it’s great and I am thrilled to see what happens in this next year!
What are you looking forward to?
I’m really looking forward to community living. It was one of my favorite parts of seminary and I really look forward to having both brothers and sisters at the house!
A little about me…
I’ve grown up as the youngest of six kids. If I had my way, I’d spend most of my time on the beach either playing frisbee, volleyball or spikeball. I really like basketball and lacrosse, and play on my own when I can’t get others to play with me. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved going on roller coasters, and one time I drove from Minnesota just to go to Cedar Point. While I like traveling, my favorite part of any adventure is the people I spend time with on the way. I think Christ in the City is going to be a great fit!
