I’m a 2nd year missionary from Denver, CO.
What brought you to Christ in the City?
I initially volunteered at Christ in the City because of my youth group leader. After the first time going to “lunch in the park”, I fell in love with Christ in the City. I fell in love with it because it was a place I could love those who need the most love. Heal those who are the most hurt. As the years went on, God taught me more and more about this concept. The concept of giving your life to Him, of sacrificing all you have to bring others to Him. This idea of saying yes to the Lord in a “crazy” way to help others through His love. So the easy answer to this question is that He brought me to Christ in the City, I just said yes.
What are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to God working though me to help and reach those who need Him most, and becoming closer to Him through that experience. I am looking forward to living in a community with people who have been called in the same way I have and growing with them. I am also excited for all of the new friendships I will gain from this experience.
A bit about me
I was born and raised in Denver Colorado, when I was 14 my family and I moved to Mexico where I lived for two years as a surfing and skating coach. After that, I moved to Colombia and lived as a sort of exchange student while I finished my last year of high school in a Catholic school there. I was raised Catholic but it became my decision when I found God in my youth group almost 6 years ago. Since then I’ve grown in my Faith and Love for Him in a personal way. I am motivated by my want to be united with our Lord, and my favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip
