Hi, I'm Jakob

I’m a first year missionary from Berlin, Germany!

What brought you to Christ in the City?

I heard a podcast about Christ in the City which immediately caught my interest. Before hearing about Christ in the City, I had never really considered encountering the homeless the way the missionaries of CIC do. I then felt a great call to encounter Christ in the poor and become a missionary.

What are you looking forward to?

I am looking forward to deepening my relationship with the Lord and to being able to see Christ in the people around me. My genuine desire is to become an instrument of Christ’s love for others. Also, I am excited about living in a community and getting to know new good friends.

A little bit about me…

I am the fourth of nine children in a catholic family in Berlin, Germany. My mother is Spanish, so I am half German and half Spanish. I have just graduated from Highschool. I love nature, hiking, travelling, reading and drawing. J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite writer and St. John Paul II and Holy Mary my favorite saints.
