I’m a 2nd-year Christ in the City missionary from Lake Charles, Lousiana.

What brought me to Christ in the City
The mission to serve. During my final year of college, I felt called to serve in a radical way. I saw Christ in the City as the perfect opportunity to serve in this way, and to learn what it means to truly love everyone that I encounter.
How has Christ in the City helped you grow?
Christ in the City has helped me grow in the freedom and capacity to love and to be loved. While living with 30 other missionaries and encountering the homeless on a daily basis, the walls that I had put up around my heart to keep others out slowly came down. I now know and desire to love and be loved as Christ calls me to, and I find myself seeking out how I can live this out every day.
A bit about me
I was born and raised in southwest Louisiana, and I am a recent graduate of Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) where I majored in Kinesiology. I am currently applying to medical school, with aspirations of one day practicing Emergency Medicine.
