Hi, I'm Claire

What brought you to Christ in the City?

What led me to Christ in the City was a long-standing desire to serve. Throughout college, I spent every summer as a counselor at Catholic summer camps, experiences that deepened my love for mission work and confirmed my desire to dedicate a year after graduation to serving others. From a young age, I’ve felt a profound calling to care for the poor, and that conviction has only grown stronger over time. Through the encouragement of my pastors and friends, I was introduced to Christ in the City and found myself captivated by its mission: to heal the deepest form of poverty—loneliness—through authentic relationships. After prayerful discernment, I felt the Lord calling me to give of myself radically this coming year, and I believe Christ in the City is exactly where I’m meant to do that.

What are you looking forward to?

I am looking forward to learning how to find and love the face of Christ in each person that I encounter, both within the missionary community and in the broader Denver community.

A little bit about me…

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in biomedical engineering. I have spent four summers serving at Catholic summer camps in Wisconsin and Colorado, where I discovered the joy of mission-driven work and the beauty of living in community. I love staying active, whether that be through pickup sports, hiking mountain trails, or simply spending time in God’s creation. I also have a deep love for coffee, embroidery, swing dancing, and good books.

Where is your hometown?
