What brought you to Christ in the City?
The face of my Lord in His Beloved Poor. He allows Himself to be veiled in many ways in our faith, and I see Him veiled in the poor particularly. He, not only is hidden in them, but He also veils them and allows them to hide with Him- because they are sacred and beautiful. I cannot know that my Lord is present and aching in them, and not follow the call to go to Him.
What are you looking forward to?
Living in solidarity with the Poor. We are all called to be poor, and the way of life at Christ in the City fits perfectly with the teachings of Christ on poverty. Not only will I get to spend much of my time with the Poor in Denver, but I will also get to live a lifestyle that mirrors theirs and therefore devote myself to them in a more radical way.
A little bit about me…
I lived the majority of my life completely indifferent to God until the very end of high school. He pursued me in a beautiful way and led me to the Catholic Church where I was confirmed during the Easter Vigil of 2021. I graduated from Texas A&M (WHOOP) in May of 2024 and spent my first summer post grad as a summer missionary at Christ in the City in Denver. Afterwards, I moved to Fort Worth to work as an Industrial Engineer at Lockheed Martin up until this point. The Lord has blessed me with a family that was perfectly chosen for me. I have two older brothers who are also both aggies. I spent years camping and adventuring with my dad, and my mom and I both converted at the same time.
