Missionary class of 2019

We’re thrilled to catch up with alumnus Tyler, who’s making a difference in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley!

Tyler resides in Winchester, Virginia, where he owns and operates EyePro, an eyecare clinic within Walmart. Following in his father’s footsteps, Tyler joined the family business in 2021.

Beyond eye exams, Tyler finds ministry in the everyday connections. “Every week, people call us or walk into our clinic with stories to share, laughter to be had, and sometimes tears shed,” Tyler said. “It’s always an opportunity to better see eye to eye with one another.”

Tyler credits Christ in the City for shaping his approach to life and work.

“As Tyler explains, these values – living an apostolic life, fostering connections, and cultivating radical availability – are the ‘nutrients’ that CIC missionaries receive. Thus, he sees the fruits of these values continually on display in the way he strives to live in his parish community and as a servant leader and business owner.”

Thank you, Tyler, for sharing your story and for living the CIC mission in Winchester!
