Hi, I'm Peggy

What brought you to CITC?

Becoming a missionary was never even a thought for me until one of my FOCUS missionaries asked if I would ever consider becoming one. Due to this it opened my eyes to this possibility. I had searched through a few organizations, and once I saw Christ in the City’s website, I felt drawn to it. Throughout my last year of college, I have grown and started putting my relationship with the Lord as a top priority. I’ve always had a desire to help people however I can, and I believe CITC is a beautiful opportunity to learn how to love others like Jesus does.

What are you looking forward to?

This upcoming year, I am looking forward to the growth of my relationship with the Lord. I know I have much to learn, and I am excited to soak it all up so that I can turn around and share it with others. Another thing I am looking forward to is making connections with friends on the street and fellow missionaries.

A little bit about me…

I grew up in a small town in Iowa with two older brothers. I have recently graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Social Work, Criminology, and Psychology. I have a niece who is almost two years old, and she has taught me a lot about the unconditional love of Jesus. Some things I enjoy doing in my free time are playing card games (especially euchre), playing any kind of sport/being outside, traveling, and hanging out with my family!

Where is your hometown?
