Hi! I’m a 2nd year missionary from Colorado.
What brought you to Christ in the City?
I heard about Christ in the City in high school because I grew up near Denver and helped out with a lunch in the park. Then I went on two mission trips in college with Benedictine College which is how I fell in love with Christ in the City. I began feeling called to serve with Christ in the City during college after those mission trips before deciding to apply.
How has Christ in the City helped you grow?
Christ in the City has revealed to me what it means to encounter Christ in the homeless. It has shown me my own poverty and how to pour myself out into my community and on the streets even when I have nothing left to give but the grace of God. The Lord has shown me that I am beloved in the midst of true humiliation.
A bit about me
I am 22, I was born and raised Catholic in Denver CO, attended Catholic school my whole life, received my degree in Theology from Benedictine College, and I would like to work for the Church in some capacity, like teaching or mission. I love sports, and I love music, I sing, I play piano, and I play guitar.
