What brought you to Christ in the City?
I first heard about Christ in the City through a friend, and I thought it seemed like such an awesome organization! Then, when I saw them at SEEK, I could tell they were doing incredible work. During my Junior year, I went on a mission trip with them over Spring break, and that’s when I really fell in love with their mission. It was also during that trip that I felt called to do a year of service. Since then, I’ve consistently felt a deep pull to serve the homeless and be part of a community that’s all about charity and poverty.
What are you looking forward to?
There’s so much I’m looking forward to next year, but above all, I’m really excited to build meaningful friendships with the homeless. I genuinely love getting to know the people we meet on our routes—it’s such an honor and a joy!
A little bit about me…
I recently graduated from Auburn University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Non-profit Management. My freshman year, I played basketball at Davidson College, which is where the Lord first drew me to the Catholic faith. My journey with Jesus has been incredibly beautiful, as He has brought me closer to Him, eventually leading me to the Catholic Church.
A few fun facts about me — I’m one of five kids and have a twin sister! I also love baking and cooking, especially when I get to cook for others. I’m really excited to live near the mountains and experience the adventure of God’s beautiful creation. I’ve been so blessed in my life, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Christ in the City!
