What brought me to Christ in the city:
After running from the liturgical church in college, the Lord kindly showed His love to me as He led me to daily Mass and Adoration during my last semester. Discovering Christ’s love was something that I had never truly known before, and led me to uncover Christ in the City after I felt like the Lord wanted me to Google “Catholic missions organizations in Denver.” After my Experience Visit, I knew that Christ in the City was the place Jesus was calling me to go to serve His beloved poor with His own love. Though I am not yet confirmed Catholic, the Church, our Savior, and Our lady are precious to me, and I am excited to continue following in the path He has set before me.
What are you looking forward to:
Adoration! Simplicity! Friendship! I am looking forward to living a simple life dedicated to growing in Christ. He has been asking me to lay aside many things I’ve held dear for a long time in order for Him to be properly exalted in my life, and I want to fully commit to the mission He has called me to.
A little about me:
My dad is an Anglican priest, and I was primarily raised in the Anglican tradition! I grew up all around the southeast, but since I was saved from almost sliding off a cliff in the Boulder Flatirons when I was 13, Colorado and I have had a rock-solid bond. My life goals include: bartering for a kayak, petitioning for Sonic to bring back the pickle slush, and working up the guts to tell my parents about how I almost flipped my car on the Appalachian Trail. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder (and hopeful future Wilderness EMT), though I may be a bit overconfident in my ability to reset a compound fracture #tractioninline. I graduated from Truett McConnell University in North Georgia, where I studied Nonprofit Management. Even though I was a business major, embarrassingly enough I don’t find joy in discussing the Lean Six Sigma. Before coming to Christ in the City, I am working for a conservative direct-mail fundraising agency, but my artistic passions truly lie in my photography side hustle and color-coding my OneDrive.
