What brought you to Christ in the City?
I’ve always felt a strong calling from the Holy Spirit that my job is to serve the poor, but I’ve
never known exactly how to do that until I found Christ in the City. CIC has shown me a
beautiful way to be God’s hands and feet, in a way that can last beyond the program’s duration.
What are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to serving the Lord in community, getting to know the poor, and experiencing
God’s love with them!
A little bit about me…
I grew up one of four children in Lincoln, in a non-denominational Christian household. All of my
siblings, including me, were homeschooled. When I went to college I became good friends with
a recent Catholic convert. Partially due to her influence, I began looking into the Catholic Church
too, and the summer of my junior year, the Lord grabbed my attention. I joined OCIA and was
confirmed during Easter 2024! Shortly afterward I felt the Lord’s call to serve the poor, and He
has brought me to Christ in the City.
