Hi, I'm Chris

I’m a 2nd year missionary from Stow, MA.

How has Christ in the City helped you grow?

Christ in the City has helped me grow in ways that I never could have imagined. I have become more fully alive, and able to really see the other in new ways. I have also become more peaceful, mature, and joyful as I have grown on both a human and spiritual level. On a human level, it has been everything from learning how to do dishes well and grill a good burger, to being a better listener, a more intentional friend, and a more patient person with different priorities. On a spiritual level, I have learned so much about my Catholic faith, the Lord’s unfathomable love for me and those I care for, and how to see Jesus in everyone that I meet. My hope is to grow closer to Jesus this year in a way that allows me to know, love, and serve everybody I meet according to His standard, and to allow Him to do His work in the lives of others through me. I also hope to continue to become a better listener and more reliable. This place has given me a foundation of faith and service to the poor, and of course so many special relationships and friendships, that I hope to continue to build on this year and for the rest of my life.

A little about me…

My name is Chris! I am from a small town outside of Boston, MA called Stow, which is full of apple orchards and lots of wonderful people. I have always loved to run long distance, and was on my high school and college cross country and track teams for 8 years. I also am very competitive, and absolutely love playing basketball, football, lawn games, and board games! I am learning guitar and love to sing, which I did for a worship music group at Saint Anselm College, where I graduated in May of 2024. I also love art, song-writing, and being out in nature, and my favorite place in the world is Green Harbor Beach in Marshfield, MA. My favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family, which I could do all day (sometimes at the expense of sleep!). I am so excited to live in community at Christ in the City for another year, where I can continue to pursue deep relationships.
