Homeless Contribution Tax Credit (HCTC) – 25% Back on Your Gift

Colorado taxpayers who give $100 or more to approved homelessness projects can receive a 25% state income tax credit. Christ in the City’s Denver Street Outreach is an eligible project, and both single and cumulative gifts of $100+ by year-end qualify.

Simply check the HCTC opt-in box at checkout.

Make it payable to Christ in the City and send it to our Denver address.

How to Submit Your Donation

Submit your donation information using the: HCTC Taxpayer Contribution Form

Quarterly Submission Deadlines

Please submit all contributions by the following deadlines:

  • April 30
  • July 31
  • October 31
  • January 23

Submission Options

You may submit donations in one of two ways:

1. Submit Each Donation Individually

  1. Easy to track throughout the year
  2. You will receive one tax credit certificate per quarter

2. Submit a Quarterly Aggregate Total

  1. Include all donations made within the quarter
  2. Use the most recent donation date on the submission
  3. Total submissions must be at least $100
  4. Recommended for recurring donations under $100

Need Help?

The submission process is simple, but additional guidance is available through our walkthrough video:

Donations Over $5,000

Contributions exceeding $5,000 require additional documentation.

What Happens Next?

Once your submission is completed:

  1. Your contribution will be reviewed and approved
  2. Your tax credit certificate will be issued
  3. Certificates are typically sent within a couple weeks following each quarterly deadline
