What brought you to Christ in the City?
One of the best pieces of advice I have ever received was to go where you are loved. I graduated this spring from Benedictine College, and it was there that I first encountered Christianity as a living culture, a concrete way of being with others—only then did missionary work make real sense to me. I credit the incredible relationships I made back at school for teaching me that really the only things which matter on this earth are other human beings. I have received a world of truth within the last four years, but it was my peers who showed me that Heaven is other people. In light of such a rich education, missionary work seemed like the only possible next step: during my experience week at Christ in the City, I knew I was loved not only by the amazing missionaries and formators, but also by the beautiful souls I met on the streets of Denver, Colorado. “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
What are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to taking part in building a new Christian community of friends which can serve as a wellspring for the lonely. I am looking forward to serving and learning from the poor.
A little bit about me…
I was homeschooled, then I attended Benedictine College in Atchison, KS where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy. In my free time, I enjoy playing jazz piano, singing, writing poetry and plays, skateboarding, and acting.
