Hi, I'm Connor

What brought me to Christ in the City?

Poverty is a word that most people don’t like… We avoid everything that comes along with that word at all costs. From our youth we are conditioned to do whatever is necessary to never experience it. Exterior poverty is what most associate the word with. It’s the poverty we see. It’s evidential. There is a poverty however that we all suffer from that hides in the recesses of our existence…the interior poverty of the soul. I have found in my short time on this Earth that the only healing of this shared poverty is in encountering the Incarnate God; who took on our poverty to save us from ours. One of the best medicines for remedying this shared poverty is to mirror the God Man, to meet others in whatever poverty they experience.

What are you looking forward to?

Community is something that has always been important to me. I am excited to serve alongside others who have a longing to encounter and meet those who most of society deems as not worthy of their time. To heal alongside them and to also have a shared healing in the community that God has called in Christ In The City.

A little bit about me.

Well, I’m just a simple dude from Texas who was fortunate to grow up in a beautiful family and to have the blessing of being surrounded by many who love me. People truly are my passion. I like to say that I live for good conversation and I genuinely enjoy building relationships with others and watching how people grow. The human experience is an interesting phenomenon…and I’m just living it, the beauty, the sorrow, and the raw chaos and order of simply existing.

Where is your hometown?
