What brought me to Christ in the city:
What brought me to CITC has been a consistent pull on my heart from the Lord since the eighth grade when I discovered there was a mission of encountering friends on the streets and building such beautiful relationships. I have always had a special love for the poor since I can remember and knew I had to do something in my life to serve in the way I felt the Lord calling me too, and CITC became that perfect opportunity. During the summer of my sophomore year I did a street walk during the NEC conference and that walk became a clear confirmation that I knew after I got out of highschool I wanted to join as soon as possible, and that there was nothing more I wanted to do upon entering the world in such a new way.
What are you looking forward to:
I am so excited for everything! I am excited to live in community, to create friendships, and to spend time with the Lord in so many ways. But most of all I am looking forward to learning how to love in the different ways the Lord calls me to! During my experience visit, I could already feel the Lord moving in my heart and I am so excited to learn how to love how He calls me to – in community life, with the friends I will encounter, and through the everyday life of a missionary there to serve Him.
A little about me:
I am coming to CITC as a recent highschool graduate from a liberal arts school. I grew up in both Arizona and Texas, both of which have very warm climates, and I am excited for the change of temp in Denver! I grew up with my parents who have both been a huge support to my desire, two little brothers, and my two puppies. I have a huge church support system and great friendships with people who share the faith! I love reading, writing, being with the Lord in adoration, learning guitar, prayer journaling, cooking, baking, going on walks in nature, and spending time with the people I love! And I am so excited to learn more about myself through this next year with CITC!
