What brought me to Christ in the City:
I was brought to Christ in the City because while going through the college search, I found myself wanting something a little more. I knew that the thing I wanted to learn most was how to love. And what better way to do that than through Christ in the City?
How has CITC helped you grow?
Throughout this past year, Christ in the City has helped me to grow in countless ways. Most notably, I am learning to see people in a new way. Not only our homeless friends on the streets, but also my brothers and sisters in community and every person I encounter. Each one bears the living Image of God as His beloved son or daughter and I am learning to treat them accordingly, even if it is just in a simple smile or lending an ear when I didn’t expect to.
A bit about me:
I am the youngest of two, born and raised Catholic. I just graduated high school in May 2025. Some of my many interests include hiking and backpacking, playing guitar and singing, dancing, writing poetry, photography, stargazing, eating chocolate, and of course spending time with Jesus in prayer. One of my top Bible verses at the moment is Psalm 131.
