My name’s Tyler and I’m a 1st-year Christ in the City missionary, returning for a 2nd year, from Littleton, CO.

My favorite memory from this past year

My favorite memory of this past year would probably be when me and two other missionaries went to go play UNO with our friend Reggie. I had so much fun making jokes and laughing with Reggie, it was definitely one of my favorite memories.

A lesson I learned this past year

I think the biggest lesson that I learned this past year was that my poverty wasn’t too much different than the people I encountered living on the streets. Even though the situations are different, there are so many times where I have admired my friends on the street and the love that they show

How Christ in the City has helped me grow

The area of my life that I have seen the most growth since the start of my time at Christ in the City would definitely be growing in the freedom of being myself. At the start of my year I was extremely nervous of forming new relationships with people at Christ in the City. I was really scared to let people into my life and terrified to have 34 people pursing me. Slowly by letting more people into my life, I have started to let down a lot of the walls that I have put up. It has been amazing forming the most authentic friendships and to be so loved by Christ in the City. I’m really excited to continue to grow in this throughout the rest of my year!

A bit about me

A few things about me would be that I’m from Colorado and graduated from high school in 2020. After that I spent a summer at Christ in the City and decided to come back for a year. I really enjoy skateboarding, playing basketball, hanging out with friends, and spending time with my family

everyone deserves
to be known & loved

If you join me in the mission as a monthly supporter, you will also become part of Known & Loved, Christ in the City’s monthly giving community! We are so grateful for our monthly supporters and their consistent generosity which makes it possible for us missionaries to be formed and reach out the homeless all year-long.

Watch Zach’s testimony below to hear what it means to him to be Known & Loved.
