My name’s Nick and I’m a 1st-year Christ in the City missionary.

What brought me to Christ in the City

Love. The Lord has continued to reveal to me His love and His goodness, and my heart has been pierced with a burning desire to share this love with others, especially to people who may not have entered into the depths of Christ’s love before. This love is what man is made for; it is what satisfies the deepest desires of our heart. It is worth sacrificing for, dying for, and leaving comfort behind. This is what brought me to Christ in the City: the opportunity to love radically and enter all the more deeper into this love through the people I’ll meet.

What I am looking forward to

I am looking forward to the opportunity to share God’s love with others, to encounter Christ in every interaction and every person I meet, and through the friendships and community, to continue to grow closer to the Lord in these ways.

A bit about me
I am from Papillion, Nebraska, and I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with degrees in Mathematics and Secondary Math Education. To me, nothing is more precious and wholesome than spending time with friends and family. When we’re together, I enjoy creating music with others and playing my guitar around a bonfire; competing in an intense game of Spike Ball or cornhole; hosting legendary board game nights, especially Spicy Uno and Bananagrams; and – when the opportunity presents itself – building 20 feet by 20 feet sand castles that rule the beach. Also, I love Honey Crisp apples, banana bread, Honey Nut Cheerios, running, and the Greatest Showman soundtrack. My favorite quote is from JP2: “He [Jesus] is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you.”
