My name’s Dominic and I’m a 2nd year Christ in the City missionary from Arnaudville, LA.

What brought you to Christ in the City?

The reason I chose CIC was because of my love of the poor and my desire for growth as a missionary. After high school, I wanted to move out of my comfort zone to experience real poverty and real mission work. After leaving for a year for college, I felt a calling back for that same love of the poor and desire for continued experience as a missionary.

How has Christ in the City helped you grow?

Most of all CIC has helped me grow in the practice of loving others. Loving our neighbor is something I was told but actually putting it into practice through loving the poor, being in the community, and having scheduled prayer has made it more real than ever.

A bit about me

I was born and raised in Louisiana. I am the 5th child of seven and am a broad uncle of 5 nieces and 4 nephews. I did Christ in the City for a year then went to college for a year and am now going to Philly for another year of mission work! I love free time and leisurely activities such as sleeping, traveling, cooking, music, dancing, eating new foods, learning about different cultures, playing any sport and having deep conversations about anything. I am super passionate about Mary, specifically Our Lady of Guadalupe, people, poverty, the poor, and making people laugh. I’d consider myself as lighthearted, childlike and adventurous. I love dry sarcastic humor. I love being weird and catching people off guard. I am very excited about serving the poor in Philly!

everyone deserves
to be known & loved

If you join me in the mission as a monthly supporter, you will also become part of Known & Loved, Christ in the City’s monthly giving community! We are so grateful for our monthly supporters and their consistent generosity which makes it possible for us missionaries to be formed and reach out the homeless all year-long.

Watch Zach’s testimony below to hear what it means to him to be Known & Loved.
