My name’s Dominic and I’m a 1st year Christ in the City missionary from Arnaudville, LA.

What brought you to Christ in the City?

The reason I chose CIC was because of my love of the poor and my desire for growth as a missionary. After high school, I wanted to move out of my comfort zone to experience real poverty and real mission work. After leaving for a year for college, I felt a calling back for that same love of the poor and desire for continued experience as a missionary.

How has Christ in the City helped you grow?

Most of all CIC has helped me grow in the practice of loving others. Loving our neighbor is something I was told but actually putting it into practice through loving the poor, being in the community, and having scheduled prayer has made it more real than ever.

A bit about me
During this year, I hope simply allow the Lord to take over my life. I want to especially give him this year of my life to serve the poor and grow one step closer to sanctity. I ultimately want my heart to reach new bounds of loving and being loved, of seeing and being seen.

everyone deserves
to be known & loved

If you join me in the mission as a monthly supporter, you will also become part of Known & Loved, Christ in the City’s monthly giving community! We are so grateful for our monthly supporters and their consistent generosity which makes it possible for us missionaries to be formed and reach out the homeless all year-long.

Watch Zach’s testimony below to hear what it means to him to be Known & Loved.
