My name’s Amanda and I’m a 1st-year Christ in the City missionary from Broomfield, CO.

What brought me to Christ in the City

I knew I wanted to become a Christ in the City missionary because I wanted to be challenged to love more radically and fully. The mission of Christ in the City aligns closely with my own personal mission, so I knew that this was how God was calling me to serve.

How Christ in the City has helped me grow

During my time at Christ in the City, I feel I have grown the most in my ability to be open and vulnerable with those around me. Before CIC, I tended to assume that people did not want to know how I was really doing so I pretended that I had everything together all the time. Through the human formation here I have realized the freedom that being honest and open with people can bring to my heart.

A bit about me

I recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Integrative Physiology and am happy to be staying close by this next year because I don’t know what I would do without the Rockies! I enjoy exploring the mountains that we are blessed with here in Colorado, spending time in the kitchen trying new recipes, and spending time with Jesus. I love to laugh and will always dance if there’s music on. I am thrilled to see what God has in store for me and the CIC community this next year!
